AGILE Workshop 2026 in UK (Deadline: April 24, at 17:00)

【Foreword】
　The students from four partner universities and Hiroshima University will gather at Hiroshima University for the AGILE Workshop. In this workshop, students experience an idea-discovery seminar designed to enhance their creativity and ability to generate ideas through lectures, discussions and group work in English. The aim is also to encourage students to take the initiative in conducting the workshops through repeated practice and learning by discussing with students from diverse backgrounds.

The 2026 workshop will be held at the University of Sheffield in the United Kingdom. From the perspective of the three Ps—People, Profit, and Planet—we will explore the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through lectures, group work, and visits to companies and local sites, participants will gain a hands-on understanding of how businesses incorporate the SDGs into their operations and workplace practices.

【Duration】
From 5 September (Sat) 2026 to 17 September (Thu) 2026
（Program Duration: 7 September (Mon) 2026 – 15 September (Tue) 2026）

【Venue】
The University of Sheffield, UK

【Eligibility】
1. Undergraduate students at HU and who has 680 or more in TOEIC L&R
*Undergraduate students have priority, but graduate students can join if slots available. Please inquire.
2. Those who are willing to participate in discussions in English.
3. Those who can participate in the entire itinerary (7 September – 15 September).

【Number of recruiting】
10　*If the number of applicants exceeds the capacity, participants will be selected based on a screening process.

【Course fee】
Estimated Cost: ¥250,000–¥300,000
　[Program Fee Support]
　Partial financial support for the program fee, airfare
　JASSO scholarship (¥110,000)　*for students with Japanese nationality
　Note: Applicants must have a GPA of 2.3/3.0 or higher according to JASSO requirements.

【Notes】
This workshop can be registered as a specialized Education course (2 credits, first semester) for undergraduate students only. Please note that the course registration will be handled by Global Exchange Group.

*Please write your statement of purpose carefully, as it will be considered during the selection process.
*This course will be conducted entirely in English.
*Students who have participated in all programs will receive a certificate of completion or a digital badge.
